Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.
Red scissors!!!
Today, I’m plugging a new product that we’ve gotten in, because I don’t want you to miss them! They’re Gorgeous!
Earlier this year, I reviewed these brand new-to-the-market Golden Forge embroidery scissors. Made from drop-forged steel, these embroidery scissors are all that embroidery scissors should be – sharp, small, smooth.
And now there are red ones. And I’m a sucker for red scissors!
In addition to being red, these scissors have some other special features – they have larger finger holes and they are engraved with a decorative leafy vine up both sides of the blade.
I love that extra touch! It makes me want to design a scissor case that matches the scissors. (And maybe someday I will!)
The red Golden Forge scissors feature the same drop-forged steel blades that are sharp and very fine, making them ideal for your best embroidery.
And look!!! The scissors – with their accompanying leather sheath – are an excellent fit for my Mini Sampler Stockings (we are restocking that kit now and will have it available soon).
Yep – I use the red stocking ornament as a scissor case during the festive season. Why? Because I can! It always generates conversations when I’m out and about with my stitching stuff.
They are a match made in the reddest of heavens.
I’m so glad I was able to get some of these scissors in for you! I suspect there are other fans of red scissors out there, and you probably want to add them to your tool trove, too.
I can’t be the only one!
These gorgeous red Golden Forge Scissors are available here in my shop. Use the drop-down menu at the end of the listing to choose the red scissors. If they are not listed, they are out of stock.
If you’ve got an eye towards having them at Christmas, whether for yourself or for gift-giving, it might be a good idea to get them while they’re here. I have no idea if they’ll be available to restock before the holidays. This time of year, everything goes out of stock quickly, getting it back in stock takes ten forevers, and, being such a small business, I’m on the bottom rung when it comes to product availability from the distributor.
Other Incoming!
Behind the wall that I mentioned on Monday, our tables are set up for kitting for the next few weeks!
We have the Thousand Flowers kits in stock again! Hurray! It took an age to get the threads from France, but they finally arrived this week. You can read all the details about the Thousand Flowers Tapestry Smalls kit here.
The Mini Sampler Stocking Kits will be stock and ready to ship next week. I’ll let you know when those are ready and available.
And by mid-September, if the last item arrives soon as expected, we will be shipping out our next Stitch Snippet stitch-along kit. It’s called Harvest Hues, and I’ll be telling you all about it very soon!
PS – If you place an order for anything in the shop that’s in stock now, but you’re waiting on an upcoming kit (like the autumn Stitch Snippet coming in mid-September, or the restock of the Stockings kit), leave a note on your order for us to hold it for the product you’re waiting for, and we can do that for you, which will reduce shipping costs. But please please please make sure to leave the note on the order when you place it, so that we see it immediately and can hold it. Otherwise, I might not see an email request until after your order ships. We strive to ship once your order comes in, so you get it quickly.
Red and Pink are my favorite colors, or should I say pink and red? I have never seen red scissors. I would like to think I could buy them as a gift to myself, but I already have a lot of embroidery scissers. I do reviews for Amazon and have gotten a lot of free embroidery scissors and long ago won a prize from my sewing machine shop of Gold Gingher embroidery scissors (value $40 at the time about 30+ years ago). So I have a great pair and then some that do an okay job and then some that come in kits. Those scissors are generally horrible with the blades barely touching. I watched a YouTube once and a young lady who was a new sewist and she apparently was in love with her junk scissors and thought they were the bees knees.
Oh well, thank you for brining these gorgeous scissors to my attention.
I received your email today 8/28/24 about the red scissors. Like you, I like red scissors! The larger finger holes would be so comfortable. But alas, they are already sold out. Will you be re-ordering? Do I need to send you my credit card info and my first child?
Beth Robey
LOL! No, don’t send cc info … or children. I mean, I like children, but I wouldn’t want to deprive you!
Drop me an email and I’ll add you to the waiting list and let you know when they are back in stock.
Hi
The scissors are sold out. Will you be getting more of them? Thank you.
Yes! Drop me an email and I’ll add you to the waiting list and let you know when they are back in stock.
Noooo! This email arrived in my box three hours ago; I wanted to order the scissors and they are sold out! Why did I not check my email sooner? I was stitching and thinking that I really need to replace my cheapo little stork scissors.
Can I pre order one for whenever they come back in stock? Or be put on a wait list?
I’m afraid I don’t take pre-orders, but drop me an email and I’ll add you to the waiting list and let you know when they are back in stock.
Is there any chance you will start a wait list for the next order of those beautiful red scissors? They sold out awfully quickly!!
Yes! Drop me an email and I’ll add you to the waiting list and let you know when they are back in stock.
I missed out… Is there a waiting list somewhere?????
Sure! Drop me an email and I’ll add you to the waiting list and let you know when they are back in stock.
New to embroidery here, and your little stocking looks like just the thing. Those scissors are divine!
They are, indeed, beautiful scissors. They remind me a bit of my Felco garden pruners, which have red handles. I guard them jealously. The red handles have the advantage of being highly visible in the yard, when I put them down and forget where. They also have held up well for a long time. So, I image these little delights will also be lifelong companions, and easy to spot. And we do need the little bits of elegant design on our tools in our lives. Your story about life behind the wall reminds me of a similar situation I worked in many years ago. Work life goes on, and eventually it will improve. Looking forward to the big reveal!
Thank you for re-adding my name to the mailing list. I so enjoy your newsletters, stitching projects, tools and tips.
