I learned to embroider when I was a kid, when everyone was really into cross stitch (remember the '80s?). Eventually, I migrated to surface embroidery, teaching myself with whatever I could get my hands on...read more

Hold That Thought!!

Amazon Books

Oh wow. I made a Big Mistake this morning and published the wrong article for today. Read on…

Oops!

The article on the Palestrina stitch edging that came out this morning was supposed to be Wednesday’s article. Today’s article should have focused on adding the top to the pincushion and stuffing it.

I’ll publish that article for you tomorrow. The Palestrina stitch edging is worked after the pincushion is complete.

In all 16 years I’ve been doing this blogging thing, this is a first.

And hopefully, a last!

So sorry!

  1. Awe, Mary, don’t worry about it! I think today’s was right on time. In fact, I was about half-way through the previous one and getting all confused with the beginning of the palestrina (those first little stitches didn’t look like palestrina to me! Then I realized they weren’t, and that made it better. But it is pretty late here on the East Coast, and I should have read it in the morning!)

Anyhow, that’s when I wondered … Did she stuff this thing? It looks like she did. And then I just figured I forgot I read that part. So maybe it is a good thing I read this late. And it was actually kinda fun to find what the next one said. 🙂

And posting these things out of order just proves how much work it is to post them at all!
