Gosh, twice in one day! This happens when I make Big Mistakes.
So sorry to post again today and interrupt your inbox, but it came to my attention very quickly this morning that I messed up the time zones in my earlier announcement about tomorrow’s chat with the folks at SFSNAD.
Also, the spots filled very quickly and many of you were not able to register. So I reached out to see what we could do about that. Here are the details!
First, the time zone differences:
I’m on with SFSNAD at noon my time (central time – I’m in Kansas). This means that those of you on the East Coast can tune in at 1:00 pm. Those on the West Coast can tune in at 10:00 am, and if you’re in Mountain time, that puts you at 11:00 am.
Overseas, if you’re in the same time zone as London, you’re 6 hours ahead of me, so that’s 6:00 pm your time. Paris is 7 hours ahead, so that’s 7:00 pm.
If you’re in Australia or New Zealand, I’m afraid it’s the wee hours of the morning. Melbourne is 15 hours ahead, so it would be 3:00 am. (Oh, yikes!) (Incidentally, don’t go by the image above. The clock on Australia is off by two hours.)
Anyway, I hope that clarifies, and I apologize for the mistake. I must’ve been facing backwards when I wrote this morning’s blog post.
Expanded Enrollment
The folks at SFSNAD were able to expand the enrollment, so if you still want to sign up, you can do so here.
Looking forward to it, and I hope to see you there!
Are you ever going to have any get togethers in the evening? I have a job and can’t join during the day hours. West coast time.
I’ve been playing with zoom, working on some kinks I have with my recording situation, and when I’ve got things worked out, I’ll probably do some occasional question / answer chats on Needle ‘n Thread. Can’t promise a specific time that I’ll be getting into that, but …. !!!! One of these days! LOL!
Do you know if the video of the interview will be available after it is live? For those of us who registered and now find we can’t attend ☹️
You can request a link to the recording from SFSNAD, if you were registered but couldn’t view it. 🙂
Sounds like a fun time! I there any way to see a replay version? I will not be able to watch at the broadcast time, but would love to hear this.
If you registered, you can request access to the recording. I think it’s only available to those who registered, but ended up missing the live presentation.
Most days I try to read your posts on my lunch hour, but yesterday there was no WiFi service. I tried to open your website at Noon today, and if space were still available could have watched your talk, but once again, the office WiFi wasn’t coöperating until about the end of my lunch hour. So sorry I missed this! I would have loved “being there.” Maybe there will be a “ next time”!
Mary, I really enjoyed your interview today. Thanks for all the great information and a peek into your world. 🙂
That was a very interesting glimpse into what goes into authoring an active, high-profile embroidery blog, with the associated teaching and designing–the many considerations you weigh short and long term. It’s not for the faint of heart. Thanks for letting us look under the hood/see how the sausage is made/[insert metaphor of choice].
How about that Midwestern cold front? Pleasantly nippy tonight in western MO. At long last.
The cold front was very welcome! Until yesterday, when we hopped straight back into summer. Ugh! LOL!
