I learned to embroider when I was a kid, when everyone was really into cross stitch (remember the '80s?). Eventually, I migrated to surface embroidery, teaching myself with whatever I could get my hands on...read more

A Quick LIttle Update on Embroidery Stash Give-away

Amazon Books

Today’s the last day to leave a comment on this month’s embroidery stash giveaway contest. I was actually going to draw names this afternoon, but I probably won’t do so until tomorrow. Fact is, I’m down and out with whatever prevalent flu / bronchial infection / fever thing is going around! So you still have a chance if you want to get in on the drawing for this month!

  1. Mary,
I hope you shake that stuff off pretty quick. Seems like it sure hangs on this winter once it hits.
I don’t use many medicines but I did with the flu (whatever it was) seemed like it helped to knock out the worst of it in the beginning. I used Tylenol Cold and Flu or Fever and Flu..anyway, it was a liquid. Still have a cough but all the other is finally gone.

  2. Hope you are feeling better real soon. I’m a little down and out myself with a hand injury. Hasn’t completely stopped me stitching or blogging but has seriously slowed me down 🙁

  3. Thanks, Jackie & Carol Anne! I’m still under it. In fact, knowing the way influenza works, my guess is this will be the worst day of it. But one thing about sickness like flu – it will end. One way or another, it always ends! 🙂

CA, I saw the picture of your thumb the other day! Eeew ouch! I hope it’s better soon and you’re back to easy and painless functioning!

    Thanks again!

  4. I’ve been looking for a source for Damask Aida cloth, 14 count. I do counted crosstitch and found this cloth to enhance the designs I stitch beautifully. My dream would be to find this material in very large pieces or even by the yard but as far as I know it has been discontinued to my great dissapointment. Any Ideas?
